Home Learning

Every week I will post home learning onto Dojo. This is linked to our maths curriculum. As the year progresses children will come home with letter formation sheets for them to practise. I will let you know about these at the time.

Children will be given a book bag and a reading diary. Children as expected to enjoy books with an adult at least 3 times a week. You can record these in their reading diary. Children will choose a class library book every week. These are changed on a Friday.

DOJO

Please do send any photos of children enjoying activities or achieving things outside of school to Dojo. We will celebrate these every day. In the summer term, children will join the Celebration Assembly led by Mrs Sheriff.

Entry and Exit Procedure

For the morning drop off, gates open at 8:35am. You are welcome to walk around the school building with your child and bring them to the classroom door where the teachers will welcome them into the classroom.

If your child finishes school at 11:45am, please make an orderly line at the main entrance gate. Your child will be escorted to the main gate by two members of staff, where they will be released to parents/carers.

At 3:00pm please enter the school premises at the main entrance gate and make your way to the FS1 classroom.

-You can do this by walking through the lower playground where you will see a path that will lead you round the back of school, where the big field is. Once you have reached the end of the path you will find a double gate onto the FS2 outdoor area, go through the gate and walk round to the main FS1 entrance. Once you have collected your child, we ask that you walk back the same way you came and NOT through the car park, as there may be members of staff or visitors leaving. Please ensure you stay with your child and exit school as quickly as possible.

Reminders:

Please can all parents/carers remember to pack a spare pair of clothes and a water bottle in your child’s bag
Please can all parents/carers label your child’s jumpers and/or cardigans.
