This term, in Science we will be focusing on the Human Body with an exciting trip to Eureka . In PSHE we will explore many aspects of ‘Celebrating Differences’ and RE will study Christianity with a focus on Christmas. Music will focus on ‘combing pulse, rhythm and pitch’ and in PE lessons we will begin by developing some fundamental skills and Gymnastics . In DT we will begin our focus on food and create our own sandwiches and packed lunches.
English learning this half term will begin with ‘There’s no such thing as monsters’ to inspire children to write their own poem about monsters. Our long study will be based on the story ‘Nibbles the Book Monster,’ enabling children to write a story and understand the purpose of characters and a setting whilst building their vocabulary.
Maths will begin with a unit of work focusing on addition and subtraction to 10 then onto 3D and 2D shapes.
