Flanderwell Primary School

Latest post to parents – also on ClassDojo yesterday.

Good afternoon everyone,
As the school year draws to a close, I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all families for their support this year, especially during the last few months.
It has been a testing time for all and I know that for many families it will have been an especially difficult and testing time. Thank you so much for your kind comments whether through email, telephone, ClassDojo or in person – we have really appreciated them.
It has been wonderful to have so many of our pupils back in school and we look forward to September when we can see everyone in their new classes.
It was especially lovely to be able to have all our Y6 pupils back together this week to share one last day in school. They have been a tremendous group of young people and as you can see from the video clips – very talented indeed! We wish them all the very best for their futures.
Just a few reminders for September:
School opens for all year groups (aside from FS1 and FS2, who have staggered start dates) on Thursday 3rd September. Please refer to the letter dated 8th July for the morning, staggered entry times for each year group.
The 1st and 2nd of September are inset days. We have had to change the date of our 3rd inset day to February 12th 2021 to accommodate a training provider. School will be closed to pupils on that day. The remaining two are the 19th and 20th of July 2021. We will send reminders and further dates for the diary, in September.
We hope that you all have a lovely summer.
If you have any urgent queries over the holiday period, please make contact at the main email address.

Kindest regards

Julie Armitage
