We have really, really enjoyed science week. Circuits are amazing!
It’s looking very red in Year 3W today, where we are celebrating Comic Relief Day! We have enjoyed listening to all the jokes in our ‘joke half hour’ this morning. There was definitely lots of laughter coming from our classroom!
Year 3 had an amazing trip to Murton Park, where we were given the opportunity to be Roman Soldiers for the day. We completed army training, including marching, javelin and sword training, as well as creating oil lamps out of clay. Some of the children were exhausted after being in the army for the day, whereas some were raring to carry on!
Year 3W dressed as the letter H for World Book Day. Hilarious and horrid were popular words in our class, as well as more unusual words such as hypnotized. Can you guess what any of the other words might be? Have a closer look at everyone’s outfit on Year 3W’s gallery of photos.
Y5 had a fantastic day at the National Space Centre. They explored different topics and enjoyed the astronaut cinema viewing in the planetarium.
There have been several reports in the media recently regarding inappropriate web pages and apps for children. The link above will take you to the parent pages of Rotherham Power, which is a really useful website for information about internet safety.
