P.E days are Monday and Fridays. Our PE topics for this half term are tennis and golf. As some lessons are best taught in an outdoor space, please ensure your child has suitable footwear and warm clothes to wear in the colder months.

Homework Spellings patterns are worked on in school.  The spellings change approximately every half term. Continue to practice Year 3/4 spellings.

Times tables are worked on in school. Continue to learn your times tables at home so you can achieve bronze, silver, or even a gold 'I know my tables' badge! Have you met our end of Year 3 target by learning your 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x and 10x tables yet? Remember you can also log in to Times Tables Rockstars to learn at home or in school.

Other homework is given out on Friday each week to be handed in by Wednesday the next week. Any problems with homework, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Reading Scheme: Reading Scheme books are changed once a week by Ms Ford, once they have been read.  This will usually be on a Wednesday.

Reading diaries are also now handed in on a Wednesday. Children are awarded team points for 3 or more reads!

There are other reading books in the classroom that children can change themselves when necessary and can take home. Children are advised not to put the reading scheme books in the book area. Any problems, just ask.

Summer 2: Dead or Alive

Next half term we will be learning a science based topic about keeping plants alive. We will be writing explanation letters, persuasive literacy and creating instructions on how to keep plants alive. Along with this, in our science we will investigate the ‘perfect’ conditions in which to keep a plant growing.

Important dates:

Shakespeare performance 19th June.
